Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about our program

How much time will I need to commit to the program?

Our program is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to your schedule. The core program typically requires 2-4 hours per week over a 3-month period, but we offer both intensive and extended timelines to accommodate the seasonal nature of tourism businesses.

Is the program suitable for very small B&Bs?

Absolutely! We work with accommodation providers of all sizes, from single-room B&Bs to larger guesthouses. The program is tailored to your specific circumstances, and many of our most successful participants operate small, owner-managed properties.

What costs are involved?

Program fees vary depending on the level of support and format you choose. We offer tiered pricing options, and many participants qualify for partial funding through local enterprise offices or tourism development initiatives. We're happy to discuss the options during an initial consultation.

My building is very old. Can it still be made sustainable?

Historic buildings present unique challenges, but they can absolutely become more sustainable while preserving their character. Our program includes specific guidance for historic properties, focusing on compatible interventions and sensitive approaches to energy efficiency.

Do I need to have prior knowledge about sustainability?

No prior knowledge is required. Our program starts with the fundamentals and builds progressively, making it accessible to everyone regardless of their starting point. We've worked successfully with complete beginners as well as those who already have some sustainability measures in place.
